Holy wow! Great food from the center of China Town. A few co-workers and I went at lunch because I had left my bahn mi cravings too long. We went a bit before noon and arrived to a place piled high with food. I was a little worried about the food that seemed to need refrigeration was out on the counter, but realized once I saw the line forming behind us that it would be carried away in no time.
I went with the pork bbq sandwich with pate and a sesame sweet. The price alone ($4 including tax) justifies the traffic. The sandwich was perfect - the bread was flaky outside and soft inside, the meat was sweet and delicious, plus cilantro and pickled veggies.
It was so good that I took Joe there for dinner the same day. Not nearly as good the second time as the pork was all fat and gristle by the end of the day. Definitely going into the lunch rotation.
